How to post on the "List":
- You can send an email to listers@amysrdhlist.com
- You can post online by going to the website at: www.amysrdhlist.com.
- Sign in online by using your email address and password that you have joined the group with in the upper right hand side corner.
- Once you sign in, please look to the left hand side under the blue member's menu.
- You can view the messages under the message link and respond there or you can click on the post link and send communication through the group there.
Here is how to change your email address on the group and/or your delivery settings.
- Go to www.amysrdhlist.com
- sign in with your email address and password
- once signed in, look at the blue member's menu box on the left hand side
- click on the link for edit details
- Once you are on there, you will be able to:
- Change your email address
- Change your subscription details. You can switch to getting individual emails, switch to digest or switch to no mail so you can read it on the site.
- If you choose to switch to read the email on site, you will have to go through the steps above but instead of clicking on edit details, you will click messages.
- Once you are signed in, you can either post or reply to messages.
- Even if you are set to no mail, you can still send a post in via your email by sending a post to listers@amysrdhlist.com

Welcome to the RDH online email community!
This community was started back in January of 1999 and has been the onelist, then e-groups, then the RDH@yahoogroups.com group until being moved onto it's own server.
My name is Amy Nieves and I want to welcome you to the group. Please save this email for future reference. If you have any problems at all with the group you can email me at anytime at amyrdh@aol.com. I welcome any comments or suggestions that you have about the group.
Anyone caught misusing, violating or spamming members of the group for any reason will be removed without notice. I, Amy M. Nieves, RDH, reserve the right to deny membership to any individual who misuses the group in any way.
PLEASE note the following:
1) This list is for everyone to use to chat with one another and to ask advice, questions on anything pertaining to hygiene at all, to inform the list of new trends or products in hygiene.
2) PLEASE note: when you get an email with [RDH] in the subject, this is from the list. If you hit reply, you are sending your email to the entire list. So please take a second before you hit reply and if it is just an email that is directed towards one person and not the list in general, please email that person instead of hitting the reply button. Their email addresses will be at the top of what they wrote so that you can type it into a new email.
3) If you are on AOL, when the digest is long sometimes AOL converts it to a text file that needs to be downloaded. If this happens and you do not wish to download it, you can come to the http://www.amysrdhlist.com page, sign in, go into messages and you can view the messages for the day without having to download it. You can also view the archives at anytime to view topics that were discussed before you became a member.
4) You are more than welcome to use this list at anytime when it involves hygiene related information or discussion. You are not allowed to use the group to add people onto any newsletter or group without their knowledge of permission. You are not allowed to solicit anyone off the group without their permission. Anyone caught "spamming" members will be removed immediately.
5) Please tell your RDH friends about the list.
6)If you keep your subscription at the digest mode, if sending something to the list, please change the subject area to include what your email is about so that we all know instead of having the word DIGEST in the subject area.
7) If you do not agree with someone, please do not publically humiliate or fight with that person. I will not tolerate this as I expect that this stay on a friendly basis and on a professional manner. I hope that you can understand where I am coming from here. We all can share our opinions whether we agree or not and be professional in doing so.
8) MOST OF ALL PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ENJOY THE LIST. It was started with the intention of bringing together hygienists from across the country so that we can share ideas, chat and better the hygiene profession for the 21st century.
9) I encourage everyone new to the list, to introduce yourself and let everyone know who you are, where you are from, how long you have been in the hygiene profession, what you like or dislike about hygiene and anything else you want to let us know about yourself. 10) If you are logging into the site to view messages, you can do so by going to www.amysrdhlist.com, logging in on the upper right hand side with your email address and password. Once you are signed in, you can explore the site. The view the messages, you will go to the blue members menu box on the left hand side where it says messages.

Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Amy, I graduated from hygiene school in NJ in May of 99. I moved to Nevada in January of 2000 and recenly to FL in July of 2004. I have three teenage daughters and have been married since 1986. I started the webpage originally to help students out in my own class, then it got noticed and I figured why not let student's and RDHs have a page to access that might help them out with information on the internet. One thing led to another and first the student email list was started which allowed students from across the country to help one another out and then the RDH list was started to give RDHs a forum of communication to keep in touch with other RDHs and keep informed on the profession on a daily basis. I sure hope that you enjoy the list as much as I do. I am learning a great deal from the other RDHs on the list! This list is open to any Dental Hygienist across the world! Thanks again :)
